VAY CUSTOMER APP
End-to-end digital user experience and design system work. Vay’s user base is growing fast, but the product is still young and the service has a lot of moving parts, so the experience has to keep up. Building out a robust design system puts the product team’s day-to-day work on solid foundations, and lays the groundwork for agents to build on too. Day to day work includes booking and onboarding flows, user rentention programs, planning features, and more.
VAY BRAND
Brand design lead, art direction, website redesign, video editing. Vay launched their commercial service in 2024. The then pre-existing brand identity and guidelines provided a good basis, but quickly needed to grow and adapt alongside the service. With real cars on real roads, the brand had to stand for something that actually existed rather than a promise. New photography and illustrations, an updated web presence, and the ongoing build-out of brand assets including what goes on the cars, all make work together to make the brand come alive and connect with its audience.

AOK
Rebranding of Germany’s largest health insurer. Bring an iconic but dated brand into the digital age. By strengthening the logotype and liberating the “tree of life” symbol from its rigid container,  it gained presence and flexibility across digital and physical touchpoints. A refreshed green palette honors AOK’s heritage while meeting today’s accessibility standards. A new illustration style brings warmth and diversity to the brand’s imagery. Typeface, icon, and layout now speak one language.

VOLKSWAGEN
Volkswagen’s transformation towards e-mobility called for a reinvented brand expression. Refreshing the Volkswagen brand experience was a huge collective effort. I was lucky to be part of the core design team setting the foundations and establishing fundamental rules for using brand elements such as the logo, colors, typography and Volkswagen’s new flexible layout device, the Moving Frame.

REDCARE
Pitch work for ShopApotheke with the goal to develop a new brand identity for their “RedCare” brand. The focus was on the e-commerce platform, but the brand also needed to be felt throughout the company’s ecosystem, including distribution centers and packaging. The concept takes inspiration from the platform’s loyalty program “RedPoints”, with a design system that spans across digital and physical touchpoints.

ZURQUELLE MAGAZIN
Art Direction and editorial design for ZurQuelle Magazine, a student magazine that explores a range of topics including pop culture, student life, and social issues. Working with a loose collective of designers, photographers, and illustrators, each issue covered a different topic, providing the perfect playground to create something new and unique for each page and story. The magazine was named best German-language student magazine by Pro Campus-Presse in 2015.
